- Head close to racket as possible.
- Racket follows path across body...stopping just below and past head.
- Shoulders follow through and rotate after ball is struck.
- Elbow stays close to body during swing, free arm up for balance.
- Arm bent at elbow, wrist straight and locked.
- Racket ready in plain of ball.
- Ball is struck along side of body and at top of the bounce.
- Racket tip slightly tilted forward to cover on-coming sidespin.
- Body moving forward as ball is struck.
- Left foot slightly forward of right.
- Weight shift from right foot to left.
- Knees bent and heels slightly off floor.
- Crouched in ready position.
